Jacque Whearty focuses on strengthening family wellbeing through work on child support, coparenting, father engagement, and economic supports for parents. She currently leads projects examining state-level fatherhood policies and innovative child support programs. Her research integrates quantitative analysis, program evaluation, and policy design and analysis to inform effective family support strategies. Throughout graduate school, Jacque focused on the intersections between single parenthood, coparenting, and children’s development. Jacque has applied her research in real-world policy settings through roles at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ ASPE, the Texas Office of the Attorney General’s Child Support Division, and the Prenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center at Vanderbilt University. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Family Relations and the Journal of Child and Family Studies.
